The trail is 40 km. altogether, running from the east end of downtown Kamloops west through downtown then across the Thompson River to the north side. There it forks, with one fork proceeding 14 km. up the North Thompson River while the other continues west for another 19 km. along the right bank of the Thompson. This is a walking and jogging only trail which is dog friendly for the majority of its length.

This is an intermediate access point, west of the eastern trailhead at Pioneer Park. This is a good access point as there is lots of parking available at the park.

Here is a map of the trail.
