This road bridge known as Godley Bridge carries Ormerod Road over the stretch of canal constructed around 1796 when the canal was extended from Gargrave to Burnley. The cut mark is to the right of the outer edge of the bridge next to the towpath on the 3rd stone up from the ground. The cut mark is a bit faded especially the left hand downward side of the arrow.
