Riverside Park in Kamloops was begun in 1905, on the former site of a lumber mill and a pig farm. Since its inception it has been the major park in the city, with the greatest number of amenities. It is far and away the most used park in the city.

Along with all the other amenities available in this park are these tennis courts. There are four courts, separated into two pairs and enclosed by chain link fences. We don't know how old the courts are, but they appear essentially new, with perfect surfaces and new nets. All four courts are lighted. Free to use, the courts are maintained by the city and are used for lessons and tournaments, for which priority is given.
