Old Canadian Army L5 105 MM Pack Howitzer on display in front of the Royal Canadian Legion in Picton.
This gun was light enough to be transported by aircraft and parachuted into position. It was in use during the 1960's.
The gun was refurbished in 2014 by members of the Eastern Ontario Gunners Association. It is in standard Canadian Army Green and carries the markings of E Bty (Para), 2RCHA. The chute decals indicate the gun made 3 "jumps" via parachute.
It was dedicated to all members of the Canadian Army in 2001.
