Short Significance Description:

The monument contributes to the national significance of the park under NR Criteria A. It represents the national movement among veterans and related groups to commemorate and mark major Civil War battlefields.

Short Physical Description

52" x 27" x 80" high, the gray granite monument consists of a rectangular base and rectangular vertical slab. Attached to the slanting face of the slab is a 28" x 50" bronze tablet giving unit designation and casualties.
