Unweit des Stammhauses des Teehandelshaus J. Bünting steht diese lebensgroße Bronzestatue einer jungen Frau. Sie trägt die Utensilien der "Teetied" – Teetasse und Teekessel – in ihren Händen und zeigt dem Besucher, dass er sich in einer Teestadt befindet. Gestiftet wurde die Statue von der in Leer ansässigen Firma. Geschaffen wurde sie 1991 von dem Leeraner Künstler Karl-Ludwig Böke. Der Name der Statue ist keine künstliche Schöpfung aus dem Wort "Tee", sondern ein gängiger Name ostfriesischen Ursprungs.

Not far from the headquarters of the tea trading company J. Bünting stands this life-size bronze statue of a young woman. She has the utensils of "Teetied" ("tea time") - teacup and teapot - in her hands and shows the visitor that he is in a tea town. The statue was donated by this Leer based company. It was created in 1991 by the artist Karl-Ludwig Böke from Leer. The name of the statue is not an artificial creation of the word "tea", but a common name of East Frisian origin.
