On the north side of the Crowsnest Highway at a gravel pit, this is a BC Highways weather station.

This station is at what is know as Anarchist Summit, the highest point on the highway between Paulson Summit, to the east, and Osoyoos, to the west. It is at an elevation of 1097 metres about 20 very circuitous miles by highway east of Osoyoos. As the crow flies it is probably about 2/3 of that.

This station follows the usual setup for these stations, with all the equipment within a chain link fence, a sign apprising the curious as to what they'r looking at and a sensor running underground from the enclosure to the highway to record road surface temperature.
