The sign is attached to the pub's wall by a wrought iron bracket from which it is suspended. The sign has three components. The upper part is the name of the pub "Travellers Tavern" and the lower part is a block that contains the name of the brewery that owns the pub. The central part consists of a square, with rounded corners, coloured gold that connects to the upper and lower parts of the sign. In the centre is a relief of a coach, coachman and four horses with a tree in the background. It is the horses that give the sign its depth. This is mirrored on the other side. It is centred and held in place by three rods.
