The bridge known as Greenberfield Lock Bridge carries Greenberfield Lane over the canal and was built around 1796 when the canal was extended from Gargrave to Burnley. The cut mark is on the outer edge of the bridge which is painted white. The cut mark is painted black and so it really stands out.
