The bridge known as Hollinghurst Bridge, was built as an accommodation bridge for a nearby farm around 1796 when the canal was extended from Gargrave to Burnley. The outer edge of the arch of the bridge is painted white and the cut mark on this has been painted black but has become faded. It is next to a wooden roller on the bridge which used to protect the bridge from tow ropes.
