The free-standing clock is a replica of the original clock installed to direct people emerging from the nearby tube station to Whiteleys. With an ornate cast-iron base and internally illuminated face, the clock adds local distinctiveness to the character of the area.

The clock has two round faces that are back-to-back. The face is white and has the minute and hour marks painted directly on to it in black. The hands are a simple, slim design with short tails and are also coloured black.

The name "Whiteleys" and the arrow, above the clock, is painted gold on a black background.
