The memorial stands on the brow of a hill near the eastern edge of the cemetery surrounded by military graves. It is unmistakable for its size and its bright white color in full sun. On the memorial are carved the names of all the soldiers who lost their lives in the Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
This is a two sided memorial and on the front, in the centre, are inscribed the words:
DEDICATED TO
THE EVERLASTING MEMORY
OF THOSE FROM
FLATHEAD COUNTY
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
IN THE SERVICE
OF THEIR COUNTRY
The Spanish-American War Memorial contains the name of the single Flathead County resident lost in that conflict
FRED W. WEATON This memorial is on the left half of the front side of the memorial, (on the northeast side) above the World War I memorial.
