In C. E. Conrad Cemetery in Kalispell is a large white marble war memorial, dedicated to those who lost their lives in the service of their country.

The memorial stands on the brow of a hill near the eastern edge of the cemetery surrounded by military graves. It is unmistakable for its size and its bright white color in full sun. On the memorial are carved the names of all the soldiers who lost their lives in the Spanish American War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
This is a two sided memorial and on the front, in the centre, are inscribed the words:
DEDICATED TO
THE EVERLASTING MEMORY
OF THOSE FROM
FLATHEAD COUNTY
WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES
IN THE SERVICE
OF THEIR COUNTRY
The Korean War Memorial contains the names of eleven Flathead County residents lost in that conflict. This memorial is on the left half of the rear side of the memorial, (on the southwest side) along with the Vietnam War, Desert Storm and Operation Iraqi Freedom memorials. Their names follow:

Conrad Cemetery is the largest cemetery serving the Kalispell area, with over 16,000 interments. The cemetery was begun in 1902 with the purchase of 104 acres by C.E. Conrad's wife Lettie Conrad immediately after his death from diabetes. C.E. Conrad was the founder of the city of Kalispell.
