Linkville Pioneer Cemetery is home to many of Klamath Falls' pioneers and settlers of the area. The cemetery is also home to some of the most unusual Woodmen of the World headstones I've come across. This particular headstone reads:
ROBERT E. KENEY
BORN MARCH 18, 1864
DIED DEC. 8, 1908
I located an obituary for Robert from FindaGrave.com and reads:
KLAMATH REPUBLICAN, DECEMBER 10, 1908
Robert E. Keney, who has been employed by the Mason Construction Co., died Monday morning of pneumonia. He was 44 years of age and leaves two sons, Daniel B. and Adolph G. Keney, who live at Salinas, California. The body was brought to this city and is being held at Whitlocks undertaking parlors awaiting instructions from the relatives.
Inscription:
Here Lies A Woodman of the World. Dum Tacet Clamat."
