This old school building was constructed in the years 1913-1914 by the architect Ernst Bode (* 10. Mai 1878 in Nürtingen, † 27. Mai 1944 in Breslau).
At first it was a secondary school for girls (Lyzeum).
Since 1976 also boys attend this school.
During the time of World War II it was in use as a military hospital.
