1930's-era Massey Harris Rake on display. This team-led rake allowed raking of around 10 acres a day vice the hand-raking total of about 1 acre a day. This style of rake was pulled behind a team and raked up loose hay until the load was too great, at which time it would "dump" the load and then be picked up for baling.

Cost in the 1870's was about $75. In the 1940's price had ballooned to about $250.

This rake is one of about 24 pieces of vintage farm machinery located along the Prince Edward County "Memory Lane" tractor trail located off Belleville Street (CR 2) northeast of Wellington in Prince Edward County.
