The water tower is easily located by visitors, and be sure to check out the old calaboose that is visible from here. The tower is gray, weathered, spray-painted by vandals, but still proudly displaying "Tioga."

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1955 (RLE) THE STATION IS LOCATED IN THE EAST-CENTRAL SECTION OF TIOGA. THE TANK HAS A CONICAL ROOF WITH A BALL AT THE APEX, IS SUPPORTED BY A FOUR LEGGED STEEL STRUCTURE AND HAS AN OVER-ALL HEIGHT OF 120 FEET. THE POINT OBSERVED UPON WAS THE TOP AND CENTER OF THE ROOF.
