Adjacent to New Shamrock Presbyterian Church, New Shamrock Cemetery is a Historic Texas Cemetery dating to 1918, and still active, with over four hundred burials. Both are located on Red River County Road 2123, just north of US 82.

Among many burials in 1918, Martin C. Scaff is the earliest, and his gray, granite headstone has the Masonic compass and square on the front, the Woodmen of the World emblem on the reverse, and the following inscription:

Georgia A. Scaff
July 7, 1860 - Jan. 11, 1944

On the base is the family name.
