Web searches for this church provide a lot of hits at locator-type web sites. Several of these state that the church is located in Mount Pleasant Township. Signs on the side of the church indicate 1883 which, based on the looks of the building, is when it was actually built, not just established. One glance at it and you can see that it is used as a gift shop now. It was locked up (double locks) on the Sunday that I came to call.
Next door to the church is the Hungry House Cafe. The topographic map shows that there was a school here just on the other side (east) of the cafe. There is a single outhouse just a little ways into the woods behind the church building.
