The Baptist Church has been represented in Bowral for 80 years however this church appears to be very modern. The website makes no mention of its history perhaps because it is too young yet to have one.

The southern highlands online website (visit link) states the Baptist Church held a meeting in the School of Arts in May 1931 when it was decided to hold regular services in the CWA rooms. On the 15th May 1938 a Sunday school was established in Oddfellows Hall in Merrigang St. On the 16th September 1938 the foundation stone was laid for the church.

It would appear that the original church has been demolished to make way for the new.
