The CCC Man is a life-size bronze figure mounted on a cut stone base. The man's right hand is resting on the handle of a double bit axe. There is a bronze plaque mounted on the base.

This monument is dedicated to the honor and memory of over three million members who served in the Civilian Conservation Corps, 1933 – 1942 and To the members who built South Carolina’s State Park System
