The city of Whitefish has recently built themselves a new Emergency Services Centre on the southern outskirts of the city. It contains city courts, a police station and a fire station.

Since the 1950s, when city hall on Second Street was remodeled and enlarged to house the police and fire departments, they have both resided there. With the construction of this large complex both departments now have much larger and more up to date facilities.
One downside to the move is that they are no longer as centralized as they were, but then the south end of the city has grown substantially since the 1950s.

I have had NO problems with taking photos of Police stations but please respect the fact that some services may be nervous about having their photo taken and inquire as to why... I have found that once things are explained they are more than happy to let me photograph the building, crest, chief... (they are people too!)
