The Confederate Soldiers are three life-size stone sculptures. two at the base and one atop the Monument. The figures at the base are adorned in cavalry uniforms with high boots, brimmed hats and sabers. The figure atop the Monument is adorned as an infantryman with a canteen, cartridge pouch and a musket.

The Confederate Monument was erected on November 13, 1907 and dedicated May 2, 1908 by the Jasper Chapter No. 925, United Daughters of the Confederacy, under the leadership of Elizabeth Cain Musgrove to honor the 1900 Soldiers who served from Walker County.
