Located along a pedestrian walkway in the NW corner of Condon campus is a memorial rose garden. There's a plaque monumented on top of a brick wall that reads:

THIS GARDEN HAS BEEN CREATED AND BUILT BY FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS
TO HONOR AND REMEMBER
JOHN M. AMUNDSON, FAIA
1926 - 1995
CLASS OF 1951, UO SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE AND ALLIED ARTS

AS AN ARCHITECT AND PLANNER, JOHN AMUNDSON MADE MANY CONTRIBUTION
TO THE QUALITY OF THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT AT THE UNIVERSITY OF OREGON
AND THROUGHOUT THE STATE OF OREGON.

THIS MEMORIAL IS DEDICATED TO HIS COMMITMENT TO MAKING
THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE THROUGH DESIGN AND CREATIVITY.

DEDICATED OCTOBER 10, 1997

This garden was dormant this time of year when we visited so we're hoping that future visitors to this garden will share some nice pictures of the growing flora here.

Location: Condon Hall
