This visitors center has a small room displaying some of the history of this area which was the center for nearly 800 years of Iceland's southern church...which started as Roman Catholic but then became Lutheran.
The center has some models of the cathedral and a crypt. There is no charge for the center or the complex.
Hours of Operation: Daily 9 to 6.
