Funded by local, state & federal grants the improvements along the foreshore included two cement boat ramps separated by a pontoon, extensive picnic areas with under cover benches, wooden fishing platforms, a playground, wash down area, fish cleaning tables, a walkway, extensive parking & plantings.
The improvements were officially opened by Gareth Ward who at the time was the Deputy Mayor of the City of Shoalhaven. He has since moved into State politics being elected the State Member for Kiama in 2011.
