The park is maintained by the Mountain View Garden Club and the Charlo Lions Club. It is an "L" shaped open area extending from Main Street, which is Highway 212, to First Avenue East, which is by the railroad track. Partly undeveloped, it is mostly an open grassed area in which the kids and their parents come to fly kites and kick around various balls. To the north of the open area is a smaller well shaded area with picnic tables and a washroom.
The park is day use only, available from dawn to dusk.
