The mural covers the entire north wall of the general store at the corner of Highway 212, which serves as Main Street, and Third Street West in bustling downtown Charlo. It was painted on a combination of brick and wood siding, which covers a rear extension to the building.
The mural was done in 2007 by a group of artists attending the 2007 Charlo Fine Arts Camp. The designer and lead artist was Olivia Olsen. Charlo Fine Arts Camps are annual children's art camps staged by the Ninepipe Arts Group of Charlo. In 2014 the group completed its 13th year, with 65 campers in attendance from as far away as Oregon and Washington State.
