Utilitor self-powered roto tiller, built by the Midwest Engine Company of Indianapolis, IN. The earliest versions appeared around 1920; this model is from the later 1920's.
The Utilitor took the place of hand-guided plows using teams. It was a precursor to the farm tractors of today.
The Utilitor is one of about 24 pieces of antique farm machinery and implements on display along the "Memory Lane " tractor Trail off Belleville Street (CR 2) northeast of Wellington in Prince Edward County.
