Built in about 1920, this two-story, brick commercial building is known as the Flewelling Building, named after Victory Coal Mining Company owner Abraham Flewelling. It was designed by the same French architect, Joseph Mirschler, who built Flewelling's home. The building's unusual style and asymmetrical design makes it stand out in downtown Centralia. It originally served as the office for the coal mining company and included a weigh station for coal trucks in the alley. Today it contains retail space and apartments.
