The only remaining caboose from the old Ward-Saluda train line, this caboose has been in it's current location for over 50 years. There are two families who claim ownership to this caboose and it's neglected and not taken care of except for the mowing of the grass. The railroad was abandoned in June of 1941. It is not available for tours or visits.
Current Use:
Park display, it sits next to the post office and the former site of the Bank of Ward
