In Philipsburg stands a 118 year old brick jail house, still in use. To the east of it is an old root cellar with a large solar panel atop.

We don't know what this array powers, but it is on town owned land, right beside the jail and, as mentioned, above an old root cellar. Possibly it supplies power to the jail. It's strange, in any event, as it's the only solar array we noticed in the town, whether on town land or private property. Possibly someone, sometime, will tell us the purpose of these solar panels.
Type of system: Photovoltaic (electrical)
