Construction of this Target store began in late 2012 as part of an $80-million project to renovate and revitalize Hillside Centre. The location was previously a one-storey Zellers store, which was completely torn down and replaced by the new 150,000-square-foot, two-storey Target. The store soft-opened on March 11, 2014, with the grand opening following on March 14, 2014.
