Completed in 1888, this building, like many on Broadway in Philipsburg, has been essentially completely renovated to return its façade to its 1888 appearance. The interior retains much of its original appointments and decorative touches.

On the side of the building is a sign left over from the time that this was the Wilson Brothers' Hardware and Grocery Store. Charles A. and Frank J. Wilson, brothers from Wisconsin, built this building and in 1888 opened a furniture store on one side, a feed store on the other, while a miners’ boarding house/living quarters were upstairs.

Later they closed both stores and changed business directions, opening a hardware and grocery store. Below is an ad for the hardware half of the business, published in the November 10th, 1911 issue of The Philipsburg Mail.
