There are three trees and a bench dedicated to citizens of Milton Keynes in this quiet corner of Campbell Park just off the Skeldon Gate roundabout on Silbury Boulevard. The one dedicated to Raymond Hill is a Field Maple and the dedication plaque simply reads:-
RAYMOND
HILL
1924-1993
in
loving memory
The Field Maple,
Acer campestre, is a maple native to much of Europe and is the UKs only native maple. It can grow up to 25 m tall, but often reaches only 10-15 m in height.
