The building was sold to a construction company in 2012 who was going to tear it down and build a new office building. The post moved next door renting space at the NY Penn Center.
In 2014 there is a sign on the building saying it is for sale.
From a WBNG news article May 31, 2012: "O'Donnell says in 1945, Post 758 had 5 thousand members,that same year the post held the largest homecoming in the United States for WWII soldiers."
" 'They're going to try to keep the monument with the facade here. They're going to try it, if they can't then they're going to move it for us down below after we get the permission from Johnson City,' says Harlost."
