“Ominous Ikon Series #69 is the latest in this sequence begun almost 50 years ago. One doesn’t usually combine two words, ‘Ikon’ and ‘Ominous,’ as descriptions of a symbol. A symbol, a paradox, are the mix of the materials. Aside from the aesthetics of this work, it follows a social responsibility of analyzing international ballistic missiles, our Achilles heel, and the futility of war.
