The large letters clearly identify this post office, located in a small plaza containing a church, insurance company and gift shop. The gift shop is also the end point for a tramway that goes across the highway to the Ossipee Mountains. The Greater Ossipee Chamber of Commerce has a tourist information center in the parking area for the plaza.
The town of Ossipee has a population of about 4,000 with tourism being one of the main attractions here in the east central part of the state with its spectacular mountains and winter sports venues.
