Large polished red granite memorial, originally dedicated to those who served and who died during Wrld War I. Those who perished in World War Two were added later.
The monument features the bust of Canadian Army officer at its peak, and is girded by two World War One-vintage captured German machine guns.
The names of those who died in WWI are inscribed with names, date of death and location, if known. The battles listed include some of the bloodiest - Passchendaele, Vimy Ridge, Amiens, Mons, and Cambrai to name a few.
