On our last day in Dover, we were exiting the city via the London Road, with the express intent of photographing the Milestone waymark, and after accomplishing that, we jumped back into our rented car, determined to continue on our journey.....only to stop again about a block away, as we (girls) had spied a lovely bakery and sweet-talked our loving husbands into just one more stop.
After spending considerable time (and money) in the bakery, we eventually continued our journey. Enjoy the photos that I am uploading, and try your best to conjure up the delightful smells of a bakery. The sweet ladies that run this bakery took special time with us, explaining their wares, wrapping them specially for us and even giving us some extra samples (which we discovered tucked into our bags, when we opened them later in the day). The ladies listened to us intently, also, as we also discovered later that they had cleverly cut each of our purchases into four parts, so each of us could have a taste!!
Wonderful service! FABULOUS TASTE!!! Just the smell of this bakery will put extra pounds on your hips!
