There are several ferry lines departing from Circular Quai in Sydney. They are part of the public transport system and thus used by locals, but also tourists can enjoy a boat trip, enjoying the many scenic views (and cheaper prices compared to purely touristic vessels).
We recommend a trip with the ferry line F3 up the Parramatta River. The trip passes through Harbour Bridge and later on offers nice views of the mansions along the shoreline.
