The boat ramp and camp site are just off Highway 228 and adjacent to Lake Koocanusa. The ramp appears to be wide enough for two to launch simultaneously. There are toilets and parking spaces at the campground. We visited in early April and the dock had not yet been put out and the ramp was still littered with driftwood.
This section of road north from Libby Dam continues up the west side of the lake but is not maintained in winter. We don't know when maintenance begins in the spring but we passed through on April 8th and there were lots of rocks on the road that had fallen down through the winter, as well as a few trees partially blocking the road and a few snow drifts to navigate.
This camping area has seven sites. The 3 sites in the open area have fire rings and vault toilet nearby and are able to accommodate up to a 40' rv. The 4 sites in the boat dock parking area have a vault toilet nearby. Campground road and boat ramp are paved, parking spurs and loops are of native material. Amenities include vault toilets, and a fully developed boat ramp with dock. - See more at the
