Alexander Creek Campground is about a mile and a half south of the dam. The campground has two camping spots, each with a metal fire ring, picnic table and garbage can. There is a primitive boat launch with parking across the street next to the Vault toilet.
The road north from the dam continues up the west side of the lake but is not maintained in winter. We don't know when maintenance begins in the spring but we passed through on April 8th and there were lots of rocks on the road that had fallen down through the winter, as well as a few trees partially blocking the road and a few snow drifts to navigate. This section, thankfully, is maintained year round for access to the dam.
