Old Hamilton single-furrow steel plow mounted on a pedestal along the "Memory Lane" tractor trail inear Wellington in Prince Edward County.
The inclusion of a steel blade instead of the previous wooden blades was a marked improvement in furrowing. It allowed for quicker use, by horse instead of oxen, with less maintenance and replacement. Cost was approximately $300.
The plow is one of about 24 pieces of antique farm machinery and implements on display along the "Memory Lane" tractor trail off Belleville Street northeast of Wellington in Prince Edward County.
