This is the first boat ramp above Libby dam on the west side of Lake Koocanusa.

The boat ramp is about 200 metres above the dam, next to the Libby Dam Campground. It is a long concrete ramp wide enough for dual launches. There is a dock adjacent to tie up to and a small amount of parking at the side of the ramp. Above the ramp is the campground parking lot with dozens of paved parking spots available. Facilities are available in the campground. Koocanusa is a big lake that extends into Canada, which means great fishing for the big ones.
The road north from here continues up the west side of the lake but is not maintained in winter. We don't know when maintenance begins in the spring but we passed through on April 8th and there were lots of rocks on the road that had fallen down through the winter, as well as a few trees partially blocking the road and a few snow drifts to navigate.
