This sculptured bus stop is on Shea Blvd., a major road between Scottsdale and Fountain Hills Arizona. It was designed by Joe Tyler as a Desert Moods Transit Shelter. It is made of rusted steel. The round white steel bench circles a rusted metal saguaro. Providing shade above is another circle of metal. The saguaro pierces both and has white metal flowers on its arms. The saguaro is surmounted by a red flaming sun. A curtain of rusted metal leaves surrounds the bench to the west providing further relief from the afternoon sun.
Artist: Joe Tyler commissioned through the Scottsdale Public Art Program.

Date: 12/02/1997

Location:
The southeast corner of the intersection of 136th street and Shea Blvd. It is 185' east of the eastern edge of 136th street.
