This bronze plaque hangs on the south wall in the alcove of the main entrance of University Hall, the oldest building on campus.

University Hall stands on the eastern edge of The Oval, a large open area around which the original buildings on the campus were erected. University Hall was the first building erected and remains the most photogenic. In the alcove of the bell tower are many plaques, most of which dedicate the 47 bells in the tower's carillon to alumni and past faculty. This plaque acknowledges the fact that the clavier, from which the bells were played, was given to the university by the Montana Power Company in remembrance of the 396 employees of the company who answered the call to arms in World War II and the Korean conflict.
It is also dedicated to ten employees who gave their lives in these conflicts.

Description of Memorial:
The plaque hangs with many other dedication plaques in the University Hall bell tower. The tower was built in 1898-1899 and the carillon was added in the 1950s, and dedicated on October 18th, 1953. The many plaques found in the alcove were added after that time.
