Motor Car Falls can be reached by a 2 hours hike (one-way) on a marked track from the Yurmikmik car park inside Kakadu National Park (4 hours return / 7.5 km). The spectacular scenery with a beautiful waterfall and a comfortable rock pool is worth it!
Motor Car Creek and the rock pool are outside the known estuarine crocodile habitat. Yet, it is possible that these extremely dangerous crocodiles move there unexpectedly, above all during the wet season. So be careful. You enter the water at your own risk.
Moreover, since this is a remote spot, we think it is obvious that only good swimmers should swim there.
