Originally a castle belonging to the Lords of Boskovice from the 13th century, it was later rebuilt in Gothic style at the end of the 15th century and in Renaissance style in the years 1611 to 1618. The chateau with an arcade courtyard emerged from the Italian Renaissance. The Renaissance gate, one of the first Renaissance works in Bohemia, dates back to 1492.

Puvodne hrad pánu z Boskovic ze 13. stol., prestavený pozdeji goticky koncem 15. stol. a renesancne vletech 1611-18. Zámek s arkádovým nádvorím, vycházejícím z italské renesance. Renesancní brána, jedno z prvních renesancních del u nás, je datována k r. 1492.
