Memorial of one of the last massacres that at the end of WWII was committed by the SS in Bohemia.

The village was destroyed 5. and 6. May 1945 by the SS commando under the command of Walter Hauck. There was burnt 38 houses down(from the original village are preserved only 3 houses). 25 people were murdered, some of them very brutally. It was a punishment for the fact that several young men from the village defied the retreating German troops.
On the site of the tragedy was in the 1961 opened memorial commemorating the tragic events of 1945. The statue of warrior with his wife and child is work of sculptor Jaroslava Lukešová.
